The Hometown Heroes loan program provides down payment assistance to first-time, income-qualified homebuyers for the purchase of a primary residence in the community in which you work and serve. Eligible borrowers can receive up to 5% of their first mortgage loan amount (maximum of $35,000) in the form of a 0%, non-amortizing, 30-year deferred second mortgage. Borrowers need to work a minimum of 35 hours a week or more.
